Ashley Pekrul Norris is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer. She has been coaching nutrition since 2019 and was a group fitness instructor from 2015-2020 before switching to personal training in 2020.
She is NASM PT certified, Precision Nutrition PN1 certified, and Health Mindset Coaching Certified.
Ashley specializes in making women and men stronger through progressive overload. Mindset and mental health is just as important as physical health and she incorporates that with all of the clients she trains!!
Her favorite lift is bench press, she's 100% a cat lady, loves being outside, and can never say no to a cookie or margarita!
Her goal is for you to feel like your most confident, strongest, and badass self!
Hi I’m Katie! I graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S in Exercise Physiology with a concentration of exercise as medicine. I am also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. In my free time, I enjoy wake surfing at the lake, and reading at the beach. I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years and after that I have continued to be involved with fitness and decided to make it my career. I love helping people reach their full potential and goals, and I want to help people that I work with reach their healthiest in a way that is sustainable long term. Fitness and health is not a one size fits all, I focus on creating an individualized plan that works for your life.
It wasn’t until I had 3 small kids at home that I realized the sensory and somatic benefits of regular physical practice for myself as well as my family.
I graduated with 200 hours in 2016 after studying under Nancy Gilbert E-RYT, RPYT with focus on bone structure, muscles, connective tissue, alignment, nutrition the mind/body needs, becoming trauma-informed etc. and registered through Yoga Alliance.
I became certified in Reflexology in 2017, as well as in that year completion of a 50 hour Mastery Program under Carol Krucoff, C-IAYT, E-RYT and Kimberly Carson, MPH, C-IAYT, E-RYT offered at the facility of Duke Integrative Medicine. This training provided experience for teaching to vulnerable populations, and hands-on safely modifying postures, for those new to yoga, or in rehabilitation.
I attained additional coaching of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Equipped with tools to reach children and teach curriculum at their level through Effective Teacher Training.
Most recently studying under Jennie Wise, MHS, of WiseMind Soul Warrior School in 2022, I was able to earn an additional 300 hour YTT which went in depth through the body systems; endocrine, lymphatic, nervous system, breath and identifying behaviors/habit change. I continue to Mentor and apprentice in this program.
